I took several SoulCycle classes in Los Angeles and I loved them, it was so fun and high energy so I was excited to share this new line. I am always looking for great quality fitness clothing that is affordable and this totally hits those marks. Walmart.com always offers great deals and easy-to-shop options. You can shop in-store or shop online with fast delivery which I always appreciate. Now you guys know that I love fabric so it is always the first thing I check for. What I loved most was the thickness of the fabric and the coverage it gave me. The colors are bold and eye-catching, they also have such great details like the waistband pull for adjustments, the elastic bands, the support on the sports bra, and the cute tags! My favorite is the monochromatic look with the gold lettering, it is so chic. While I was shopping at Walmart.com trying to select pieces I literally couldn’t decide, they were all so cute. I decided on the black multi-color leggings and matching sports bra and the wine color top with long sleeves and leggings. It’s really great how easy it is to mix and match the collection and really get something that speaks to your lifestyle. So today I thought it would be fun to share my shoe-making journey. I have really loved learning how to make my own shoes and now that it has been well over a year I wanted to share my thoughts. Below is a video I made sharing how I learned, the courses I used, and a look back at what I have made so far. MY SHOES TO DATE Here are the first two pairs of sneakers I made using the Shoe Surgeon Course, this course only teaches sneaker decon-recon. HERE ARE MY HEELS! I put them in order of when I made them... This was my first and second pair, the ones below were next. This is the shoe I made mom for mothers day. I didn't get a good pic because I only made a reel for it but you can watch it HERE. These two are special to me because they were the first straps I ever made and also my first pair of platforms. I found two amazing stores not too far from me that I can frequent. I talk about how I started knitting and do a full haul of all the goodies I got in the video below! Woooohoooo I knitted my first-ever tank top and she fits perfectly. If you thought I was obsessed prior to making this Tank top and I really obsessed now that I know I can do it! This was great project by KnitcroAddict and she has a sew along on her Youtube channel which made this even easier to knit up. The yarn I used is a Linen blend and it drapes so pretty. The yarn is by Sandnes Garn and its called Line. In the video below I chat about the pattern, my thoughts and also share some goodies I got in the mail from FIVE BOROUGHS YARNS she has the most beautiful yarns and I was so thankful for her gift to me. I have to start by thanking you guys for joining my community. I created the G-GROUP to have a safe space to share our health and fitness journey and I was blown away at how many of you joined yesterday. This is completely free, all you have to do is sign up as a member of my site so you can see and read the posts. You can also post and share your own images and comment on others. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am enjoying meeting all of you. Ok now on to this red hot vest and pants I just made. I love this so much! I used SIMPLICITY #9689 and made a few adjustments to the vest. ADJUSTMENTS I MADE I wanted a lower neckline so I brought the neckline down about a full inch. I also made the shoulders a bit more narrow and added a facing to the vest. The lining is edge to edge but I wanted to have wool facing vs the lining so I just created a new facing piece. You can see that below, if you would like to see how I did that let me know in the comments. I made no changes to the pant's pattern, I cut a size 16 and they fit great! I love these pants and plan to make them again. They are high waist but not too high and anytime I can sew a pants pattern without making fit adjustments I mark it as TNT (tried and true) pattern. I used a lightweight wool from MELANATED FABRICS, it is the perfect weight for the look I wanted. I also used one of our rayon prints for the lining. Both are linked below. This new MCCALL PATTERN #8361 is a hit. I love the notched collar, the front wrap, the ties at the mid-section, the elastic band at the back, and the low-cut back of the skirt. It was a lot of fun sewing this one. I picked an amazing 100% RAYON PRINT from MELANATED FABRICS and it is just dreamy to work with. The hand and drape of the fabric are perfect for this pattern. Now let's talk about my shoes! These are my most recent make you can watch a reel I did HERE. These shoes are also now on SEW IT ACADEMY as a full course! I made this dress using SIMPLICITY #9642 and a beautiful black and pink Rayon Challis FLORAL FABRIC from MELANATED FABRICS. I wanted something fun and flirty and this fabric and pattern combo is exactly that. I have so many prints in my stash that I couldn't decide which one to use for this dress but the pink roses just kept calling my name. This was also a really quick dress to make, I love a great project that comes together easily. I plan to make this again in a solid and will be wearing this dress all spring and summer long. The bodice front has gathers at the bust and the skirt has princess seams, the ruffles are cut 3 on the fold so you get a nice amount of gathers. I did end up putting 1/4" elastic along the back waist seam because I felt it was too much of a gap. THE LOOK! Let me know what you think! Thank you so much for reading.

This is one of my favorite shirt patterns, it's a SIMPLICITY #9646 which I made before in a great mushroom print, lol. This time I made it using a DITSY PRINT from MELANATED FABRICS. It is a fun print and I love a floral on a back background. The skirt is my REGAL MAXI, I made myself a short version and when worn together it looks like a dress! I picked up this printed leather at Tandy Leather a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to make some shoes with it. I love a great platform so I decided to make some inspired by another pair of platforms I purchased last year. I am obsessed with shoemaking and every time I make a pair of shoes I amaze myself, LOL! These were a lot of fun to make. I have made platforms before so this pair only took me about 5 hours from start to finish. I bought a sewing machine for my shoemaking, it's an industrial machine that sews through layers and leather just like butter! It is the SAILRITE. HI DARLINGS! I have uploaded my sew-along for SIMPLICITY #9754 view c which is the pants. I love these so much because you can make them out of so many fabrics. These are made from a washed linen that drapes like a dream. Depending on your fabric choice they can be more structured like the pair I made for my PATTERN ENVELOPE or drapey like the ones you see in the pics below. I also really love a button fly so these pants have a button fly and waist facing. They have great oversized pockets and can be dressed up or down.
