HI DARLINGS! I have no time today at all and am already running behind but I had to share a few pics from THE SALDANA pattern (freebie pattern as part of the SEW SEWDEF MAG subscription) this is the longer side knot version of the dress I showed you last HERE. You can also choose to just buy this PDF pattern HERE, the pattern size is XS-2XL. I leave you with what I am calling my Mrs. Roper look, I love her by the way and if you don’t know who she is, I totally just aged myself LOL!
- NEW SIMPLICITY SUMMER PATTERNS 2 OF 2
HI DARLINGS! I have been wanting to design an athleisure pattern for some time now especially since I started to get a lot more serious about my body and health. This pattern is designed based on all the things I need in my workout gear. I hate my arms being cold but sometimes don’t want anything else on. I love leggings but hate the private area showing so this overlay is EVERYTHING! It can be pulled down to a skirt length too. I need a pocket for my phone! The sports bra is lightweight enough to be comfy but still has support. I really hope you guys enjoy this one and I am already making myself a few more of my leggings in cute knits for weekend wear. You can shop online HERE and the sew-along videos will be up soon.

- My Favorite Pancake Recipe
HI DARLINGS! You guys know how much I have tried to make changes to how my family eats, making sure everything we eat is as clean and simple as possible. I think it so important to be good to your body, but also we can feel the difference. I partnered with Mountain High this month to share one of my favorite recipes, yogurt pancakes! We use yogurt frequently at home because the kids are big smoothie fans and I always use plain yogurt to make them. I love Mountain High because it’s simple, yummy and high-quality yogurt. I have tried a ton of pancake recipes in my life, but this one beats them all for the fluffiest pancakes ever. 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 large eggs, lightly beaten 2 cups (16 ounces) Mountain High Plain Yoghurt 1/4 cup chopped pecans 1/4 cup water In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, Mountain High Yoghurt, and water. Stir into dry ingredients. Pour batter by 1/4 cup onto a hot griddle or pan coated with cooking spray or butter. Turn when bubbles form on top; cook until the second side is golden brown. Mountain High Yoghurt click HERE Mountain High Yoghurt

- DIY BLUE JUMPSUIT + PATTERN REVIEW S8333
HI DARLINGS! I am running on fumes this week working on SEW SEW DEF, It’s almost that time and we are so excited but really tired, lol. Today’s #DIY is an easy and really great jumper by SIMPLICITY. I did a pattern review for you below and will leave you with that. I hope you are all having a wonderful week and if you haven’t signed up for notifications on the launch of SEW SEW DEF head over now. Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, this is a very quick project. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love a jumpsuit always! Fabric Used: Rayon Knit Blend Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I do however recommend using a snap to keep the front closed or to overlap just a bit more than suggested. Would you sew it again? I think I am going to make the dress version. Thank you SIMPLICITY, FISKARS, FABRIC.COM, BABYLOCK, THE FABRIC STORE and MICHAEL LEVINE for supporting this years 6th annual and final conference!
- EVERYDAY GRAY DRESS WORN BACKWARDS
HI DARLINGS! So today is an #OOTD sorta day. I found this dress at H&M although when you click that link and go look at it, it’s not going to look like this because I am wearing it backward, LOL! I like the way it was intended too but when I am feeling a little sassy I turn it around. The snaps are meant to be in the back but it looks so cool in the front. Two options I suppose is always a good thing. I wore it with my new STEVE MADDEN CHUNKY HEELS and these great vintage earrings I found at VIRGO, a local shop here in DTLA. I will be back tomorrow with another DIY! xoxo Thank you SIMPLICITY, FISKARS, FABRIC.COM, BABYLOCK, THE FABRIC STORE and MICHAEL LEVINE for supporting this years 6th annual and final conference!

- ICE DYED REVERSIBLE SCARF AND GIVEAWAY!
HI DARLINGS! I partnered with Rit Dye to bring you the coolest thing ever… Ice Dyeing. I had been stalking blogs looking at really creative ways to dye fabric using Rit Dye. It’s so easy to use, nontoxic and I can dye almost any fabric. Aside from using Rit Dye to make your own amazing textiles, you can also use it to refresh items you already have. I also love that I can use it for home decor projects, wood, throw rugs and so much more. I have a feeling you are going to see a lot more projects soon, lol Rit Dye is so awesome that I decided to make a reversible scarf/headwrap and then give it away! Yep, you have a chance to win my awesome one of a kind creation by leaving a comment below and telling me how you are “dyeing” to use Rit Dye. But that’s not all; I want you to be able to try your hand at ice dyeing using Rit Dye so below is a step by step on creating this awesome project. You can use any of their 32 base colors and over 500 additional colors that you can achieve by mixing their dyes, including Pantone seasonal colors of the year. Okay now for the fun part. Tub Rack Fabric (I suggest using a natural fiber, I used linen) Rit Dye (3-4 colors) Powder Gloves Ice Rit Dye Color Stay There are some variables here, depending on the size of ice you use and or how much you ball up your fabric you will get different results, That is, however, the best part, you never know what it will look like. Once the fabric had dried it looked even more magnificent! I couldn’t wait to sew it up. I ironed them out and laid them on top of each other. Rit Dye. (Must be U.S. based and over the age of 18) If you want to learn more check out THESE great techniques Thanks to Rit Dye for sponsoring this post
- DIY BROCADE JUMPSUIT
HI DARLINGS! So I have been wanting to re-make my SIMPLICITY PATTERN #8060 (purchase pattern HERE) in a less traditional fabric so when I came across this fabric in a different colorway than the one I made HERE I decided it would be perfect for my jumpsuit. I wanted to dress it up by using the brocade and also make it more slim fit since my original design is for a slouchier look. I simply cut one size smaller than I normally would and shortened the length. The fabric is no longer available. This pattern has a sew along which you can also watch HERE. Thank you SIMPLICITY, FISKARS, FABRIC.COM, BABYLOCK, THE FABRIC STORE and MICHAEL LEVINE for supporting this years 6th annual and final conference!
- MY DIY BLACK AND WHITE FAVORITE PICKS
HI DARLINGS! I was looking through old pics and realized that I really like black and white, lol! so I thought I would post 4 of my favorite DIY looks I have made in B/W. Sometimes looking back at old pics inspires me to remake some oldies. These were all pretty simple but were big hits. The first dress was a knock off of a pic I saw on Pinterest. I used a basic shift dress pattern and created the strip on the bodice and skirt. The original post is HERE Thank you SIMPLICITY, FISKARS, FABRIC.COM, BABYLOCK, THE FABRIC STORE and MICHAEL LEVINE for supporting this years 6th annual and final conference!
