- GREEN CORDS AND MULTI COLOR SWEATER
HI DARLINGS! Well you know I am busy when you get a not-sewn #ootd lol. I have not had a lot of time to photograph so that’s why I am leaving you this Wednesday with this easy to pull off corduroy pants and sweater look. I got these pants two years ago and wore them for my BIRTHDAY POST HERE. The sweater is definitely a favorite that I have had for a few years now from J.CREW TARGET Jewelry | GUCCI Fanny Pack | ALDO WEDGES SaveSave SaveSave
- DIY KNIT BELTED DRESS
HI DARLINGS! Happy Monday. I had a little time over the weekend to get some sewing done which is always a happy day for me. This dress is from one of my older SIMPLICITY PATTERNS #1019 I love this pattern because it’s easy and very chic and can be worn with the legging pattern it comes with. I omitted the side slits since I was going to wear it as a dress and not a tunic. The fabric is really old and from my stash. It’s a textured knit with a cool floral print. I wore my slouchy booties from STEVE MADDEN and some simple gold earrings. SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave
- DIY BLAZER AND SHORTS USING MY SIMPLICITY 8558 PATTERN
HI DARLINGS! This DIY look is from my SIMPLICITY PATTERN #8558 which I posted HERE when it first was released. I have made since then in several fabrics mainly because I love how easy it is to make and wear! This time I made it in a suiting and I can’t even tell you how often I have worn the jacket already, lol. I shortened the shorts this time and wore them with tights and my booties. The fabric was from JOANN FABRICS several months back actually. I love the tiny houndstooth. I wore a t-shirt and some heart shaped earrings. This pattern, just like all my others, has a SEW-ALONG VIDEO HERE SaveSaveSaveSave SaveSave SaveSave
- MY DIY VALENTINE’S PURPLE LACE DRESS
HI DARLINGS! Happy Valentine’s Day. If you have plans today have fun! We avoid going out on Valentine’s Day so we actually make reservations for the day before, lol. I don’t like set menus and here in LA every restaurant will put together a set menu that you have to choose from, very limiting, lol. So we celebrate early, ha! This is my Valentines Day dress which I made a few weeks ago. It’s one of my latest SIMPLICITY PATTERNS #8611 I posted the romper version on Monday HERE. This lace was actually a remnant I found in the clearance bin for $5, lol. I lined the top and used a nude slip for the skirt. The SEW-ALONG is on my YOUTUBE CHANNEL of course. I hope you enjoy the pattern and Happy Valentine’s Day! SaveSave

- DIY ALL OVER LEOPARD TWO PIECE
HI DARLINGS! Did you guys follow my INSTAGRAM STORIES yesterday? if you didn’t you missed out, lol. I took everyone with me on my anniversary surprise date and it was the best. I had such a wonderful time that I didn’t want to to go to bed last night just so the day wouldn’t end. It was back to work today tho and filming for the next course in the SEW IT ACADEMY. Also, we are launching SEW IT KIDS on Friday! So I am busy finalizing. This #DIY look is actually made in December but with the MUST HAVE ME MADE 10 I didn’t get a chance to post it so here it is. I used an old pair of leggings that I turned into my go-to leggings pattern and BUTTERICK 6523 for the jacket. I used a STRETCH LEOPARD VELVET fabric I found at MICHAEL LEVINE I love this jacket so much, it is perfect for so much. I can’t wait to wear it with a plain white tee and jeans. - DIY CARDIGAN AND LEOPARD LEGGINGS
HI DARLINGS! I hope you are having a great week so far. I am busy getting SEW IT ACADEMY: KIDS EDITION ready to launch on Friday so I have been a little out of touch the last few days, lol. So much to get done. Today is also a special day, me and Norris are celebrating an anniversary 😉 so I am guessing he has something up his sleeve for tonight. For now tho, I gotta get some work done. I am wearing my ANNIE CARDIGAN from my PDF PATTERN. It is my favorite thing to make right now because it sews up so fast! Below are some pics of some of awesome ladies who have made it and rocked it. I am wearing it with my leopard leggings which you will see again this week with a matching jacket that I made. It’s such an easy look to pull off when you have a long cardi to pair with your leggings. Norris used some of my fabric to make this amazing zip up turtleneck, so jealous of it! lol The fabric is an eyelash knit that we found locally, you can try to find some by searching online “Eyelash knit by the yard” HERE IS A SEW-ALONG TOO @brittanyjjones @classyfiedlife SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave
- ME MADE MUST HAVE 9 AND 10: THE DENIM JACKET AND T-SHIRT DRESS
HI DARLINGS! I did it. I made all 10 garments for my ME MADE MUST HAVE self-challenge and I made a video which I posted on my YOUTUBE channel going through all the pieces I made. If you are just checking in and have missed my ME MADE MUST HAVE PLANS check out THESE posts. Today is #9 and #10! First the T-shirt dress, this is my favorite style of dress for everyday wear and I knew I wanted to make one using a PDF pattern called THE NETTIE by CLOSET CASE. I love the fit, the style, the low back and I can make it longer when I need to or shorter. Its a quick and easy dress which I highly recommend. I used a lightweight stretch jersey from my stash. Okay, now the denim jacket is also a PDF pattern from ALINA DESIGN & CO. It is the perfect denim jacket pattern and she has an extensive amount of picture tutorials on her site. I love all the classic details and how well it came together. I used a really great soft denim I got from MICHALE LEVINE (no longer available) some time ago. I washed my jacket 4 times to soften it and get that worn look after I made it. I can’t wait to make it again in a white denim for spring. SaveSave
- MY TOUR OF THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY AND CULINARY CENTER
HI DARLINGS! This post is sponsored by The Cheesecake Factor. I have been so excited about sharing this experience. You may have seen a few sneak peeks on my Instagram earlier in the month. I had the opportunity along with two other food bloggers to experience a day at The Cheesecake Factory Culinary Center. This place was magnificent! We got a behind-the-scenes look at the cheesecake way of doing things. This is where the magic happens before the magic reaches your plate. They test recipes, create new dishes and enhance the dishes already on the menu to keep them fresh and interesting. My kids and I love The Cheesecake Factory so as true super fans this was a real treat. All sauces, marinades, and dressings are made from scratch in the restaurant. Vegetables are brought in fresh and cut and chopped by hand, eggrolls, dumplings, and pot stickers are made and hand-rolled/formed. Every burger is hand-formed, and they even grate all their cheese in the restaurant! What’s your favorite dish at The Cheesecake Factory? SaveSave
