HI DARLINGS! Here is my other FALL SIMPLICITY PATTERN, I was going to post tomorrow, but something amazing just came up, and I won’t have time to post, so today it is! I also have to record my upcoming PODCAST EPISODE, so ya girl is busy. If you haven’t checked out my PODCAST or know what I am talking about, lol read THIS POST. You can get the patterns now by ORDERING ONLINE since you already know they will be sold out as soon as they get in stores! FABRIC Okay I know I am going get a ton of questions so here it is, I used a heavyweight double knit for the navy and a mid-weight double knit for the gray. The ribbon does not come in red and blue, so I stitched the blue thinner grosgrain ribbon over the red then attached it. The top is a jersey, and you can make it out of any stretchy knit. The pants can be made from a stretch woven; I have a pair I am making in denim which I can’t wait to show you.

- DIY OPEN BACK TOP USING LOVED TO PIECES FROM MISTER DOMESTIC
HI DARLINGS! I am so happy to share this post for my dear friend MATHEW aka MR. DOMESTIC. Mathew is having a BLOG PARTY, and we are showing off his new fabric collection “LOVED TO PIECES.” First it’s so beautiful, and secondly, it has some knits and rayon’s for us non-quilters, lol. I get so jealous when I see amazing quilts that I always want to try my hand at it; this time, however, was not the time for that, LOL, so I stuck to what I know and made an awesome summer top. The details on my top and the modification to the pattern are below. Mathew’s blog party has been so dope, and there are so many makers who have shared and will be sharing their makes using “LOVED TO PIECES.” I listed them at the end of this post so you can check them out too, I was blown away! PATTERN INFO AND MODIFICATIONS I used a 100% RAYON PRINT from MR. DOMESTIC’S collection. You can see the entire COLLECTION HERE. The pattern I used for this top should be familiar to you because I made it HERE and HERE. I made a modification to the back by folding the CB to create a deep V, It’s an easy change, and it looks great. I loved how soft the rayon was and the prints are really lovely. Please go check him and show some love. - DIY MODAL KNIT WRAP DRESS
HI DARLINGS! OK, Don’t be upset but this DIY MODAL KNIT WRAP DRESS is a rub off of a dress I bought and not a pattern. You can however remake it using a few patterns I listed below. I bought THIS black wrap dress at FOREVER 21 a few months back for $11, I came home rubbed it off, and created a pattern. I listed the fabric I used, modifications, and possible patterns you can use below. The dress was so inexpensive that rubbing it off to create a pattern cost as much as buying a pattern itself. The one thing I love most about sewing is that I can see something or buy something and then use that item to create patterns that I can use to recreate those garments in better fabric choices. The dress I bought and inspired this DIY was a pretty inexpensive knit so being able to make it in the fabric of my choice is soemthing I am grateful for. MY COLLECTIONS If you missed any of my previous post on my #DIYREDWHITEBLUECOLLECTION click HERE #DIYWHITECOLLECTION, is HERE, #DIYYELLOWCOLLECTION, is HERE. My #DIYDENIMBLUECOLLECTION can be found HERE, and my #DIYPINKCOLLECTION can be found HERE DIY DRESS INFO & MODIFICATIONS As I mentioned above this dress is drafted from a dress I purchased. I loved it so much but the fabric was cheap so I copied the dress to create a pattern. Now I can make this over and over again. The dress is linked above and I used this MODAL KNIT I picked up at JOANN, you can find other knits HERE. Here are some pattern options for you, or you can buy the dress linked above and copy it like I did, LOL. What I liked most about this knock off is the the front skirt is a full skirt with an attached overlay as the wrap which allows me to wear it without worrying about the wind blowing the wrap open. - MODIFIED MENS JUMPSUIT PATTERN FOR HER USING SIMPLICITY #8616
HI DARLINGS! I am so excited about this post you guys. This jumpsuit is one of my SIMPLICITY MENS PATTERN that I just love and couldn’t wait to make. My modification video is below and you can find the full SEW ALONG on his YOUTUBE. PATTERN MODIFICATIONS & INFO I cut a size 42 and just looked at the finish garment measurements on the tissue paper to see what size I wanted to cut according to my hip. - DIY LINEN DRESS USING NEW LOOK #6511
HI DARLINGS! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Although I have been working non-stop, I am energized and so excited for the next few months. I am speaking this week in Anaheim at RELENTLESS 2018 alongside the amazing ALEX RODRIGUEZ. There are so many great speakers, and I am honored to be in the mix. I also am gearing up to speak at UDEMY, it’s my second Keynote speech, so I am a little nervous but excited. I also just started recording my new business and personal growth podcast which I will talk about some more in a few weeks. A lot of stuff is going on at one time, but I am pumped! Okay now let’s talk about this super comfortable, I can live in this dress forever DIY. I made this using NEW LOOK 6511, details on the pattern and modifications below. MY COLLECTIONS If you missed any of my previous post on my #DIYWHITECOLLECTION, click HERE #DIYYELLOWCOLLECTION, is HERE. My #DIYDENIMBLUECOLLECTION can be found HERE, and my #DIYPINKCOLLECTION can be found HERE DIY DRESS PATTERN INFO & MODIFICATIONS This NEW LOOK 6511top and dress pattern was on the top of my list to sew. I knew that I was going to modify it, so I filmed a step-by-step for my YOUTUBE which I will put up next week when I show you the other version I made. This one is simple, I just extended the bodice and doubled the ruffle size for more gathers. I left the edge raw on my linen which looks really cool, I also added two big pockets to the front. The linen is a heavier weight which really makes this dress keep the shape. It is an easy breezy dress and I love wearing it. I got this linen at The Fabric Store, they closed the store here in LA which made me so sad but you can still order from their online store in NZ.
