DIY KNIT DRESS WITH BUILT IN POWER MESH USING SIMPLICITY #8639

HI DARLINGS! You might recognize this knit dress; it is one of my summer patterns, SIMPLICITY 8639. I first posted HERE and had since made another shorter version. This blue one is one of my favorites, the color is so vibrant and the dress is shhhmmmeeexxxxyyy! Details below on my fabric and pattern info.

I designed this pattern so that we could include a built-in power mesh that will help hold things together when you don’t want to wear Spanx.

DIY DRESS INFO & MODIFICATIONS

I made this in a blue modal blend knit that I had in my stash but I think you can still search it on the Michael Levine website. I made the longer version and used a nude power mesh.

I didn’t make any modifications to this and remember that there is always a SEW-ALONG for my Simplicity patterns to help you sew this dress up.
