HI DARLINGS! I am totally knocking this jumpsuit off… I found it at a small indian shop in DTLA and I fell in love. It is so easy to wear, incredibly comfy and so sexy….even if you do look like you have on a wet diaper, LOL!!! I am going to make myself one of these and I will promise to share how I do it so you can do it too. It is made of what feels like a CHALLIS so I will probably use the same fabric. HI DARLINGS! So every week I have really great intentions of cooking all the veggies I buy but my days get long, things come up and me and the kids end up eating out more often than I would like. Next thing I know my veggies are about to go bad and I see a lot of waste about to happen so now I just make a “dump veggie soup” I literally dump whatever veggies are in the fridge into a soup and then we have leftover soup for the week… win win. You can literally make this with whatever you have in the fridge but here is a quick look at mine. I use the following seasonings but you can use whatever you’d like. Adobo, Sazon, Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Onion Powder, Sofrito,  Tomato Sauce and Chicken Stock. I have this soup also with salt/pepper/cayenne/lemon juice and cilantro as my seasonings. Wash and cut all your veggies Add tomato sauce, chicken stock (3 cups), seasonings and garlic and cook for a few minutes Add the veggies that take the longest to cook, I always add potatoes first then cabbage Then I boil on medium until the potatoes are soft and the cabbage has cooked Then I add broccoli, cauliflower, carrots etc. I cover and cook for about 15 minutes, let cool and serve. Super easy, super fast and delicious! Enjoy xx

HI DARLINGS! Todays #DIY Romper is a modification of my SIMPLICITY PATTERN #8060 I saw a jumpsuit similar at a retail store not long ago and I knew my pattern was the perfect start. Here are some of the modifications I made. I also used an olive linen that I had in my stash but HERE are some options for you. This was a really fun #DIY and I love how many options one pattern can give you. I made a few modifications so I will list them for you… I changed the pockets and instead created more of a cargo patch pocket. I eliminated the zipper fly and the drawstring and instead used 1″ wide elastic casing I used the hidden button placket method from my SIMPLICITY #8084 PATTERN I removed much of the ease in my #8060 pattern for this one because I wanted  more fitted look. My HEELS are from STEVE MADDEN and my sunnies are TOM FORD, I think I got the rope at H&M but don’t remember. WISH YOU COULD SEW? I know so many of you who have been afraid of sewing your own jeans but don’t you worry I am here to help! I designed these jeans for women who have curves and or who always find that jeans leave you with a gap in the back of your pants at the waist. Now you can make some jeans that will fit and won’t look “home made” *IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO SEW BUT WANT TO LEARN SIGN UP FOR THE SEW IT ACADEMY* I am going to be posting ONCE a week for 5 WEEKS. Each week we will tackle a portion of the pattern and sewing until we are all done and you have a pair of jeans that fit. Okay… now there are a few things that make your jeans look professional so I am going to list the items you need to have on hand for the first part of the sew-along next week. MIMI G PATTERN: Simplicity Pattern #8222 (Joann, Walmart, Hobby Lobby) FABRIC: You will need some Stretch Denim Fabric (I made mine with a 3% stretch denim fabric) you can find options below. I suggest using at least 3% but 5% would be even better. You can also use a  STRETCH WOVEN  and you can use STRETCH COTTON which has about 5% lycra. Here are some options for denim. OPTION 1, OPTION 2 (option #2 has a lot of prints and solids that have 5% lycra. NEEDLE: Denim Needles THREAD: Jeans Thread (I prefer Gutxrmann) and All Purpose Thread JEAN BUTTON: Waist Button (you can find these at Joann, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels) JEAN RIVETS: Rivets (pick your finish) JEANS ZIPPER: Metal Zipper We are going to go step-by-step just like my video tutorials. HI DARLINGS! Okay I should be back on track now. Thank you so much for your patience and for all of the amazing comments you all left for my family and grandma. I am back in the office and so ready to get back to my regular posting schedule, tutorials, projects etc. I made this jumpsuit a few weeks back but hadn’t had time to post it. It is a FRANKEN-PATTERN of my SIMPLICITY 1283 and SIMPLICITY 8123. I used the top of my #8123 pattern and then used the pants from #1283 and graded at the waist. This is really an easy modification to make since all I did was add 1″ to the waist height of the pants and graded at the waist so I could align my pant front darts with the princess line of the bodice. Hi Darlings, I am just popping in to say that I will not be blogging until next week. My grandmother passed away last night and I am making preparations to go home for the wake and funeral. I don’t even know what to say except that she fought to stay alive as best she could but last night she passed from cancer. She is in a better place and no longer in pain so I find peace in that but it is still so hard to imagine that she is gone. I am so glad I got to see her last April while she was still alert and laughing. Please pray for my family. xoxo
