HI DARLINGS! I had to post this dress although it was a wearable muslin I love it. I was inspired by a dress that Tracey Ellis Ross wore on Good Morning America. That is the beauty of sewing, you can see it and make it. I plan to make it again and I will walk you through the sleeve which is pretty easy. I used my own tutorial on the OFF SHOULDER DRESS found HERE to make the dress. I am headed to LAX for a 10 day business trip so I am gonna keep it short. xoxo

HI DARLINGS! You guys know I am notorious for modifying a pattern so why wouldn’t I do that with my own SIMPLICITY PATTERNS? lol! I took MY #8221 PATTERN and modified it to create a dress similar to one I got from Zara. That is one of the beauties about sewing, you can see something and make it! I got this awesome Ikat fabric from Michael Levine. I did some modifications to my pattern which I listed below… Created side seam pockets Extended the front button extension by 1/2″ so it would be wider. Created long sleeves with a cuff and placket (I used a Simplicity shirt pattern for the sleeves) I added a curved side hem I drafted big front pockets with flaps STYLED IT: Celine Sunnies, H&M Rope Necklace, Marshalls Shoes

HI DARLINGS! You may have noticed I posted some pics on my IG last week at a roller skating ring with the kids. Well, OLD NAVY had a really cool event showcasing their #DENIMMOVES campaign and the CRAZY STRETCHY jeans BUILT IN SCULPT jeans. I got a pair of the black high waist jeans and let me tell you I think if I was physically capable (I am not) I could do the split in those jeans. Stretch is so important in really good jeans so that they move with your body and you don’t end up with saggy knees or a gap in the back. What makes these really great is that they literally pull and lift in all the right places, lol! The kids and I had a great time and will be going back so I can learn to skate. HI DARLINGS! I am so over the moon in love with this fabric… It’s a linen print I picked up from THE FABRIC STORE and it’s beautiful. It reminds me of a garden… hence the name of my post lol. I made this SIMPLICITY PATTERN #8014 twice already HERE and HERE and I will be making it again, lol. It is great pattern. HI DARLINGS! Well I pulled off yet another shindig and this one was extra fun because it was for my first born baby. When I moved into the new LA house she immediately asked if she could have her 23rd birthday party here. She had never had a birthday party before so I was eager to do it for her!
