  • DIY Skirt + Daytime Sparkle Sweater

Hi Darlings! I am having an amazing week you guys! I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am for all the really great things that are happening with my family and the blog. Thank you all for the support and love you guys show me. I KNOW I have the best fans EVER! Today I woke up feeling sparkly and since I bought this sweater at the GAP a few weeks back, because of it’s sparkle, I knew I had to wear it. Aside from the sweater being so fab and versatile it also has a really great shape. Some sweaters are shaped odd and when you wear them they fail to fall properly on the body but this one has a great shape and front “tuck ability” lol that is a new term I just made up. I am known to do a front tuck often so that is always the first thing I check when I buy sweaters. A sparkle sweater is also a great way to dress up some jeans and boots. The skirt is a favorite of mine and I made it using 3 panels instead of one full front piece so I could get a much greater drape on the bottom. If you are a new be to sewing you can get a very similar look using my mermaid skirt tutorial, it is probably one of the easiest projects to get started with. QUICK TIP: During the winter months (and yes it still gets cold in Cali) I wear leggings or heavy tights under my maxi skirts and they keep me really warm. • Quilted Leather Mini + Yellow Tweed Blazer + WW Update

Hi Darlings! So WW (work it Wednesdays) has been a bit lagging due to so many changes and the holidays and so and and so an (insert more excuses here) lol but I do have an update…I DID finally start T25 and I love it! I could not handle the 45 intense work out with Insanity due to my bad knee so I had to stop doing it. With T25 I can actually get through the 25 minutes without my knee giving me a problem. It is intense and at the end of day 1 I thought I was going to pass out LOL but I got through it! and there is a modified version being done along with Shaun T so if you are not ready to do full speed you can follow along with the modified version. Ill update you guys again next Wednesday and will share any changes I see. I also wanted tot mention that there is a meal plan that comes with the program but I never follow them. I just stick to a cleaner diet which I talk about in detail HERE and focus more on stain hydrated so I am currently drinking a gallon of water a day…that seems like a lot but I have a 24oz. bottle that I bought at Target and I just drink 5.5 of those a day and before I know it I have downed a gallon of water 😉 The bare minimum of water you should be consuming on a REGULAR day is 8-10 glasses of water a day (64-80oz.) but when working out for weight loss you should double that, the main key to loosing weight is WATER. If you did not work out, ate pretty close to an all clean diet and drank a gallon of water a day you would loose weight just as fast as someone eating not so clean, working out 5 days a week and drinking the minimum amour of water required for your body to stay hydrated. Remember that as part of the new videos for youtube where I will be answering your fashion questions I will also answer any fitness, workout, food questions you have. Just leave your questions in the comment section for me and I will pick a few for next weeks video. • DIY Side Gathered Dress + Sky High Booties

Hi Darlings! I am feeling well enough to get dressed and leave the house, lol! The hubby is not well yet ;-( but our son is doing much better. Today’s OOTD is an oldie but goodie that I made almost two years ago. The pattern, which was V1020, is no longer available but you may have some luck getting one on Etsy or ebay. If you want to get the same look you can always use V1314 which is very similar except that it has long sleeves and gathers on both sides. I made it using a really heavy double knit that snaps on the body like nobody’s business! This post is sponsored by Benefit Cosmetics Hi Dolls! Remember my post last month about Benefit Cosmetics? well today I get to share what I was doing. I will be back tomorrow with “Work It Wednesday” and a Benefit Yummy Giveaway this weekend! xoxo Mimi G The items below are MY favorite products (not shown in the video): Benetint I love how easy it is to just add some rosiness to my cheeks. Girl Meet Pearl I use this everyday because it makes my face sparkle! Triple Performing Facial Moisturizer This is my favorite moisturizer right now, it is not greasy, light and feels creamy soft when applying. Highbrow This is the pencil she used in the video under my eyebrows and I am obsessed with it. It really does “lift” the eye. Here are a few shots from my day at the beauty bar! They were also kind enough to allow my makeup obsessed daughter to join me, she had a blast!

  • Forever 21 Overalls + My Closet Video Tour

Hi Darlings! Well if it has not been crazy enough already my ENTIRE household has a cold, lol I swear I cannot get away from it. My poor baby has been coughing & the hubby who is impossible to get to sit and rest (I shouldn’t talk) spent the entire day in bed as did I. We just could not manage to get up. I can hardly even talk without sounding like a man and the sourness in my throat is just awful! Thank goodness that I had my pics from Friday that I didn’t get to post, plus a video tour of my closet. Many of you have asked to see how I finally finished it so I did a walk through for you. I am trying my best not to talk today because it really does hurt and I am going to rest up a bit more. I MUST learn to take more time to rest but I get so antsy when I am doing nothing, lol. *SALE ALERT* www.lowpricefabric.com is having a sale! 20% OFF in honor of Veterans Day. Today only!
