- Romantic Lace Dress
Hi Darlings, I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! I spent most of the day in my studio sewing which was exactly what I wanted to do. Today is a new day and I am off to run errands before leaving for Chicago tomorrow. This dress is from what I lovingly call the “stinky store” Abercrombie, LOL I am allergic to perfume and just the smell of it gives me really bad headaches instantly so no one in my family can wear any type of perfume, highly scented lotions, body sprays etc. but when I walked by the store (quickly because it oozes out of the store) I saw this dress and I had to buy it. I literally held my breath until I couldn’t hold it any longer then started breathing through my mouth, LOL!! I ran through the store, grabbed it, checked out and took a deep breath once outside. The things I do for clothing…smh. The dress was so summery, delicate and slightly romantic looking, which is not really a style I wear but I felt so pretty in it. It has a gorgeous fit in the bodice and the bottom flows nicely away from the body. I wore it with very basic nude sandals and a bold lip. The dress is no longer online but I did find some gorgeous options for you HERE, HERE and HERE. My shoes can be found HERE and my lip color is CoverGirl “Spellbound 325″ Now one last thing before my #OOTD pics…The “HI DARLING” and “SEWING IS SEXY” T-shirts we had available at this years conference are now available HERE! I only have a very limited number of tee’s so they will go fast. CLICK TO PURCHASE TEE’S #Lace #tees #pumps #nude #abercrombie #white

- What I Wish To Be Weighed By
Hi Darlings, a few days ago I posted about the Lean Cuisine #WeighThis campaign and it was so great to read all of the amazing things you guys wish to be valued by instead of your physical appearance. Being a mom of three girls it’s so important for me to set a good example and let them know that they are amazing, strong, talented young women who should be weighed by their integrity, character and kindness for others and never by their weight. I wanted to highlight some great comments shared in my last post and this video provided by Lean Cuisine. Please share this with all the women in your life. #WeighThis CHURIE WALLACE “I wish to be weighed on my compassion for others, my ability to persevere even when I was counted out by those around me, my love for my family through thick or thin and the strength that I display on a daily basis”. SHARON “This is so deep, I’m in tears right now. I want to be weighed by the way I raised by children to be honest and upstanding human beings. I want to be weighed by the love I have for others. I want to be weighed by my faith that Jesus is my light!”. KAYDRA “I want to be weighed by my love for God, the love I have for my grandchildren, the gratitude I have for my parents who have been my support all my life and that I have never had one day without both of them. I want to be weighed by the passion and dedication I have for my children, my family and friends. But most of all I want to be weighed for being me the great, beautiful, confident, exciting, gorgeous grandmother that I am”. ADRIENNE B “I wanna be weighed by my sense of humor. I’m a heavy weight champion of the world in that area (In my own mind anyway) I wanna be weighed in by heart for God!!#ThatIsAllForNow”. MICHELLE “I want to be weighed on my greatest success and my blessings in anyway see fit my kids as a teenage mom of four kids yes 4 kids at a teenager and yes kept all of them raised them to be good and respectful human, I want to be weighed on speaking up and out in the face of injustice and unfairness even if I am the only one opening up my big mouth. I want to be weighed on me my character as a person who has come a long way holding my head high”. Thank you all so much for sharing your comments with me and expressing how important this conversation is. #WeighThis

- What I Wish To Be Weighed By
Hi Darlings, When Lean Cuisine asked if I would participate in the #WeighThis campaign I immediately accepted. The message is simple… one that should be yelled from the rooftops, written in the sky and embedded in the minds of women and young girls everywhere. What do you wish people would ‘weigh’ you on besides your weight? So often we are valued by our physical appearance instead of being valued by the things that matter most to us, by the moments we are most proud of or by the contributions we have made to society, our families and friends. I want to be ‘weighed’ by my greatest joys in life, my children and how I have raised them and continue to raise them to be amazing human beings, they are what I am most proud of. I want to be ‘weighed’ by the success of my business and how that success has helped me to promote the encouragement and motivation of thousands of women across the world. I want to be ‘weighed’ by the love I have for others and not by how much I weigh! Take a look at this video provided by Lean Cuisine My Pride and Joy! LET’S TALK ABOUT IT! What do you wish people would ‘weigh’ you on besides your weight? What are you most proud of? What really matters to you? leave a comment below sharing what you wish to be weighed by.
