- BLACK AND WHITE STRIPES AND ROYAL BLUE VELVET
HI DARLINGS! I hope you guys are getting ready for my favorite holiday, THANKSGIVING! We are so not cooking this year and instead just enjoying friends and family, so I am thankful for my sissy April who is hosting us, lol. I have been going through it you guys trying to get my mom to a specialist because she is having some infections happening and it is stressing me out. Now we have another series of things to deal with for her, but I stand firm in my faith that God will get us through this too. If you pray, please add my mom to your list 😉 Okay, so I am trying to see what I plan to wear to my sister’s house because I want to be comfortable but cute. I haven’t decided yet, but after wearing THESE elastic waist velvet wide leg pants, I think I am going with something similar to this look. PURCHASE THESE PANTS HERE I am posting my second look option tomorrow. I made a tweed pullover top that I am loving!! See you tomorrow. SaveSave
- DIY PLAID DRESS USING MY SIMPLICITY 8221 PATTERN
HI DARLINGS! I can’t get enough of this plaid dress. I made it using my SIMPLICITY #8221 PATTERN and I had forgotten how much I loved my design, lol. I need to make this again as a long tunic with slits on the sides. It sews up quickly and has few seam lines which made it ideal for a plaid since I only had to worry about matching up the CF (center front) and SS (side seams) *TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER THE VELVET TWO PIECE FROM MY READY MADE STORE MIMIGCOLLECTION.COM* I wore my little plaid dress with some nude sky-high heels and gold jewelry. This pattern is really great because you can make it out of almost anything including knits. I used a plaid poly print I got from MICHALE LEVINE If you haven’t subscribed to my YOUTUBE CHANNEL head on over. I just uploaded my MONTHLY MAKES video! SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave
- OVERSIZED TEE AND LEATHER LEGGINGS
HI DARLINGS! Today is an #OOTD kinda day but can we talk about two things… One is this awesome FREE PEOPLE oversized tee that I can live in every day. The other is the gorgeousness that are these DOLCE AND GABBANA BOOTIES. I have had these some time now and had yet to wear them, so I used the pop of red lace to add color to my all black look. Sometimes you just want a simple red lip, all black clothes, and awesome shoes. SaveSave
- DIY CORDUROY PANTS USING VOGUE PATTERN #9181
HI DARLINGS! Happy Monday. I spent most of my weekend caring for my mom, she has been recovering from her surgery and had some issues from ruptured sutures, so I have been doing some wound care and trying to keep her comfy. We have another follow up with the doctor this week, so I am looking forward to that. I just want her to feel better. Even with all that she is in great spirits and is all smiles. Today’s #DIY corduroy pants were made with VOGUE #9181, and I love this pattern.  I did not have to make any crotch adjustments and no swayback adjustment which is usually always a must for me. The waistband sits nicely on my lower back and the fit through the hips is great. I used a stretch corduroy fabric I picked up from THE FABRIC STORE. Okay don’t be mad because I know you are going to ask, but I can’t remember where I got these earrings from. If I remember I will come back and update the post. HI DARLINGS! You know I am a huge fan of wide leg JEANS so I frequent FREEPEOPLE every so often to see what new jeans they have in store. - BLACK KNIT JUMPSUIT USING PATTERN M7135 MODIFIED
HI DARLINGS! I hope I am finding you having an enjoyable and productive day. Can you believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner? I am starting to think about my menu already, lol. This year mom will be here with me so it will be an extra special day. Are you starting to plan your feast? *click pink text for links* Well, as if the holidays approaching wasn’t enough to keep us busy I have also been trying to sew as much as I can before we go on break in December. Every year I take a two-week long break from blogging so I need to make sure I can get everything done before then. This look was actually made several weeks ago if not longer, using #M 7135. It was part of the three-piece fall collection we made in my SEW IT ACADEMY. It was so much fun to make and it is the perfect jumpsuit for any occasion. I modified mine by cropping the length so I could wear them with heels, sneakers or even sandals depending on the weather. I used a PONTE KNIT and styled it with my DOLCE & GABBANA booties (old). My EARRINGS and NECKLACE are from J.CREW SaveSave SaveSave

- FALL TRANSITION LOOK WITH THE JESSICA PDF DRESS PATTERN
HI DARLINGS! Happy humpday. Today I am in such a zen place. I finally had a moment to set up my home office and I couldn’t be happier. I have been so busy that I just had not found time to set up a space at my home where I could work, can you believe I had zero sewing machines at home?? Well, I finally took care of that. My office is in DTLA and although my office is awesome I like being able to work from home some days especially if no one needs me for something or I am not taking meetings. If you didn’t see my office tour you can check it out HERE. I will also give you guys a look at my home office once I finish recovering my cutting table, lol. Okay on to my DIY look. This dress is my PDF PATTERN THE JESSICA. I love this dress so much and this pattern has sold like crazy since I released it. I love that I can make it from just about any fabric and it can be dressed up, dressed down and even shortened to be a top like THIS POST or a maxi length like THIS POST. If those weren’t reasons enough to get this pattern it also can be worn all year round. I decided to pair it with my DIY TURTLENECK from THIS pattern so I could wear it when it starts getting cooler and with tights and boots you could wear it through the winter! SaveSave
- THE MOST COMFORTABLE DRESS ON EARTH! PATTERN REVIEW SIMPLICITY 8414
HI DARLINGS! I love when I make something that is so comfy to wear that I immediately start to look for other fabrics to make it out of. This pattern by CYNTHIA ROWLEY for SIMPLICITY is that dress! I have already worn it twice and I love that I could rock it with my sneakers and also with heels and it is just as cute and chic with either. I used a cotton check fabric I got a FABRIC DEPOT. The pleated detail on the bodice and the sleeves is great and creates that puff you see at the sleeve. I plan to make this out of a silky fabric soon.
