HI DARLINGS! That is one hell of a title, LOL but these paper-bag drop crotch pants are my favorite thing to wear. I don’t have a pattern to give you because I made them from a sloper I have but I think a freebie tutorial is in order for these, I can’t keep these awesome pants to myself, lol. I wore them with my DIY turtleneck from my SIMPLICITY #1283 PATTERN and my favorite shoes… I swear I need to send these to a shoemaker to recreate them in every color. HI DARLINGS! It’s still November so I am still celebrating my birthday, LOL. I was in Kauai during my actual birthday so I told my closest friends when I got back I would host a dinner party to celebrate my big 40… Thanks to Stella Artois who so generously outfitted the party with all the necessary beverages 😉 we had a blast! I LOVE decorating for a party and I especially love making my table a welcoming and warm place for my guests. HI DARLINGS! Why am I jumping for joy you ask? LOL I am just so excited to share my recent holiday haul and my black friday plans to shop GAP FACTORY. I was in Burbank a few days ago and stopped into GAP FACTORY to pick up some warm and cozy pieces to help the cooler nights and sometimes days here in LA. I love to layer and since we can go from semi warm to chilly in just a few hours it’s easier to add on layers or take off layers as needed. The GAP FACTORY lets me find cool stuff for me and the kids especially during the holidays. HI DARLINGS! I am missing Kauai so much lol. It was such an amazing trip that I keep looking at the pictures on my phone. The kids are already asking about going for spring break. So…. since I had the island on my mind I thought I would share a look I wore there. This easy and loose fitting jumper was perfect for my trip and I actually wore it on my birthday for dinner at this great little place in Kauai called TIDEPOOLS. Sometimes you just want something that is loose and breezy and this was it, lol. BUT I forgot to photograph it so I did it when we got back home. HI DARLINGS! I am over the moon with this NEW LOOK #6474  jacket. I made it in less than two hours because that is just how fast and awesome this pattern is. I posted a review of the pattern below for you as usual and I linked to the fabric I used although the mustard doesn’t seem to be online they have a lot of colors. I wore this with a striped button up, my favorite of the moment jeans and my leopard heels. This is a great beginner pattern so if you want something for cooler days/nights this is a great pattern to use. I love the fabric, I love the style and I love how easy this SIMPLICITY JIFFY VINTAGE PATTERN was to sew up when I am short on time. I bought this awesome velvet fabric at THE FABRIC STORE LA and when I brought it to the office I looked up a pattern to use and I knew this JIFFY #1059 was going to be perfect. I love the sleeves, the belt, the pleat at the shoulder… (pattern review below) Anyway! I wore it with my red bottoms and simple jewelry, I wanted a very classic and elegant look. HI DARLINGS! As this post publishes I will be on my way to HAWAII and I am probably really excited right now, lol. My 40th BIRTHDAY is tomorrow 11/5 and I gotta tell you I feel amazing, I’m looking forward to my 40’s and I look pretty damn good if I say so myself, lol! I usually do a birthday post and have pictures and all that good stuff but I decided to just enjoy my day as I head out to my much needed vacation instead. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! My jeans SIMPLICITY PATTERN #8222 is amazing (if I do say so myself) lol and it’s just really awesome to be able to make them whenever I want. HI DARLINGS! I rarely ever do super casual looks on the blog but I thought why not share some of the looks I wear when I run errands or am hanging with the kids. This is a DIY/Retail combo since the JACKET is a DIY from SIMPLICITY #8058 which I posted HERE and my joggers are from H&M. I love mixing the items I make with items I purchase, it always gives me so many more options. It also works great when you buy a skirt or pants for example and then realize it would be great with a certain top  and you have the ability to make it, lol. My ADIDAS are actually a 4.5 kids because the size 5.5 and 6 in women’s are always to big. If you wear a small shoe size you can find them HERE. Even when I’m casual I still like to be stylish and put together so adding jewelry and cool sunglasses with a non athletic jacket helps elevate the casualness of the joggers and sneakers.
