Although we should tell the people we love how we feel all year round, the holidays seem like an extra special time; that’s why I love giving my friends and family Hallmark Signature cards. I don’t know about you but my friends and family are extraordinary people so I couldn’t just give them an ordinary card. The other two very special women in my life are my two oldest daughters. They have been encouraging and supportive of the difficult choices I had to make and always showed me a tremendous amount of love and kindness. HI DARLINGS! I am posting this oldie but goodie which I love. I made and wore this almost two years ago, so I pulled it out for another look. I remember loving this fabric so much, and although it is long gone, there is some foil knit options below. The shoes are also old from Steve Madden and my earrings were a birthday gift from my son. I added the original review below for you in the event you can find the pattern on Etsy or in one of the Joann drawers. Fabric Used: ITY Foil Print (options HERE) Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope when you were done? Yep Were the instructions easy to follow? This is a pretty quick and easy dress to sew up. The instructions are clear and basic. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked the style of the dress and I knew it would look great in my fabric. A simple pattern for a standout fabric. I did not use elastic in the waist as they suggested and just inserted the zipper. The fabric is a stretch knit but there is a waistline seam so pulling it on is not an option. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None other then my usual grading down, the pattern has a lot of ease. Would you sew it again? Yes, I think I may do it again at some point. Would you recommend it to others? Yes 😉

HI DARLINGS! Well, It’s that time again. Time to start planning where you are spending the holidays if you are traveling or staying in and if you are staying in who is coming over! This year I decided we are not going anywhere and instead will be enjoying the holidays at home. That does, however, mean that we will have house guests and that is always so stressful to me, LOL. I love to entertain but with all the shopping and cooking and running around that happens during this time I have to remind myself to stop, breath and take a moment to indulge in my favorite things. HI DARLINGS! Well it’s Friday and I couldn’t be happier because I am going to take Saturday to sew and relax. I have so much catching up to do and it feels like as soon as I start to get a handle on the schedule it gets turned upside down again, lol. Although I love what we do here at Mimi G Style I can’t wait until the 19th for my annual “blogging vacation” I try to shut down and just enjoy some time off until the 2nd… then we are back with greater things! HI DARLINGS! Ya’ll know I shop as much as I make so on my recent black Friday haul I picked up this awesome FREE PEOPLE VELVET JACKET and I am in love! I can wear this every day and be happy forever lol. They also have it in this rich MERLOT and I plan to get that one too. I wore it with my ZARA JEANS and white tee and another recent buy, these LEOPARD SLIDES from TOPSHOP. I also wore my CELINE SUNNIES and a red lip. HI DARLINGS! I am so over the moon about this #diy jumpsuit. I am even more over the moon that this jumpsuit pattern will be coming to you soon! It’s in the works as we speak so in a few weeks you can have it too with the option for a wide leg… you are welcome! lol I made this out of a WOOL SHIRTING in the gorgeous grey and mustard check print. It was crucial that I match the checks all the way around my body and of course also at the pockets. It has an invisible zipper in the center front so matching up the checks was imperative there too! I think I did an awesome job 😉 I made my belt because there is no way I could wear a store bought belt with this and keep the look I was going for. The sunglasses were a gift from daughter and I think she got them at ALDO. My booties are from STEVE MADDEN last season.
