DIY STRIPED WRAP DRESS + PATTERN REVIEW 8896

HI DARLINGS! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am so excited about the next few months because of course there is the conference coming up in July, the SEW IT! Online School launching next month, with Mother’s Day, and the kids getting out of school. There is so much planning to do!

This weekend I had a little time to sew something up so I pulled out a pattern that has been on my to sew list for some time. This is V8896 and although it doesn’t look like much on the envelope it’s actually a really fast and easy pattern when you are short on time. The pattern review and fabric options are below.

After making the dress I had some extra fabric left over so I thought I would make myself a head wrap… I mean why not? lol… You are also going to see THESE SHOES a lot ( previously worn HERE) because they are my current favorites!

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, this is a no fuss pattern and since it has no facings it sews up really quickly.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? What’s not to like about a wrap dress? Its the perfect dress, lol but I also really liked the gathered shoulders and the maxi length option which I think I will make this summer.

Fabric Used: I used a cotton spandex in this yellow stripe. HERE are some really great prints that can be used for this pattern.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None.

Would you recommend it to others? YES!
