DIY STRIPED JUMPSUIT USING VOGUE 9259

HI DARLINGS! This has been a long week, and I am looking forward to the weekend. Do you guys have plans for the Memorial Day? I am hoping just to take it easy. Now on to today’s DIY! This jumpsuit has been in the queue for sewing for a long time, but when I got this great fabric from MOOD, I thought it would be cool to play with the stripes. More details about the patterns, modifications, and fabrics below.

DIY TIE TOP PATTERN INFO & MODIFICATIONS

This is VOGUE 9259. The jumpsuit is pretty straightforward, and it came together really quickly. I decided to line the bodice, so I cut four instead of 2, and I also took the zipper all the way up through the waistband instead of using a hook and eye which I don’t like doing.

Now regarding fit… I don’t have a large bust so the top was no issue for me but I have read a lot of reviews that say the bodice creates gaping at the bodice if you have a full bust so I would suggest making a quick muslin and if you get gaping create a bust dart to take up the excess.

The fabric is a knit from MOOD
