HI DARLINGS! I don’t often use vintage patterns mostly because I know you guys can’t always find them but I have been on a vintage kick of sorts. I have made three vintage makes in the last two weeks so I am sorry in advance if you can’t find this VINTAGE VOGUE 8625 pattern. I also made the pants which were a super quick make. I love this collar and the elastic waistband. I decided to use snaps for this one (I made another one in velvet–coming soon) and made the pants from a light weight crepe de chine. The fabric for my jacket is from MICHAEL LEVINE The item number is #P1304 you can always call the store and ask them for the fabric Mimi is wearing in this pic and they will find it for you.

DIY fashion like creating large collar jackets and pants from vintage Vogue patterns shows how classic tailoring and creative experimentation still drive modern clothing ideas, especially in structure and fit. That same mindset connects with how industry practices turn design inspiration into consistent production standards, where precision and material choice matter just as much as creativity. Bestest Industries fits into this context by reflecting how professional garment manufacturing supports and refines such design-driven approaches in everyday apparel production.

That DIY approach really highlights how vintage patterns can be reworked into relaxed, everyday fits that still feel unique. Bringing that idea into modern casual wear, pieces like Scrod Industries sweatpants reflect a similar balance of comfort and street style, where fabric choice and fit matter just as much as design. It shows how even simple silhouettes can evolve into something current when thoughtful construction and customization come into play
