Blue Apron: Cooking With The Kids
Hi Darlings, I have always loved cooking and I really enjoy the family gathering and exchange of laughter in the kitchen My kids always end up sitting in the kitchen talking to e about their day while I cook. Recently they have begin asking to help in the kitchen so I thought it would be great to get them involved in the prepping of our family meals.
They LOVE to help and are really great sous chefs. Since starting my love affair with Blue Apron it has really given us plenty of opportunities to create delicious, chef-designed recipes at home. Now the first 100 readers will get 2 FREE MEALS with their first order.
Blue Apron delivers all the farm-fresh ingredients you need, right to your doorstep, in exactly the right proportions. I don’t need to make trips to the grocery store and there is no waste. Blue Apron is always adding new recipes and now they have a great Family Plan!
The Family Plan is perfect for feeding a family of four and since my kids are still young they don’t really eat full servings so I could technically feed 5 or 6. With this plan you can opt to receive one or two deliveries per week and delivery consist of two meals that you serve family-style. The plan is $8.74 per meal, or $69.92 per eight serving delivery, which is more affordable than our trips to the grocery store where I end up buying random ingredients with no real idea of what I plan to make that week. Now I don’t have to wonder!
The 2-Person Plan will set you up with one delivery a week, each with three meals for two. The price for this plan is $9.99 per meal, or $59.94 per six serving delivery. Of course shipping is always free for both plans!
There is nothing more satisfying then spending time teaching your kids something you love to do. They get a great appreciation for the meal after they help to make it and serve it. Each menu is between 500-700 calories per person, which is great for me! And I love how many new recipes, techniques and ingredients we get to try and enjoy which keeps our dinners from ever being boring or repetitive.
The kids paid such close attention and were really focusing on their assignments….it’s just so darn cute. They really liked how easy it is to read and understand the step-by-step recipe cards.
They did a great job prepping and watching the sweet potatoes bake in the oven. These were delicious!
The tarter sauce was the best we ever had and I found it so funny that as the kids were making it they kept eating it.
The fish was so fresh and flaky! We cant wait to make this Fish & Sweet Potato Recipe again.
