Back To School Style
HI DARLINGS! The only thing I enjoy about back to school is taking the kids shopping for new clothes… I can’t help it, it’s like playing dress up lol. The kids are big on being outside and since its the tail end of vacate for them I make sure to shop for items they can wear and play in but still transition well to the school week.
My favorite place to shop for them is OLD NAVY they have the style and affordability I look for especially when you have to shop for more than one kiddo.
One of the things I think I love most about OLD NAVY is their amazing denim, colors and prints! They have denim for the entire family. Usually boys tend to reach for the blues, blacks and grey but using color to mix up the looks is an easy way to add variation.
One of the key things to shopping for the kids is that they can move and play in their clothes. As you can see my son thinks he is an acrobat so I need to make sure that his DENIM can hang tough.
My daughter is a fashionista and loves to shop just as much as I do so we enjoy heading to OLD NAVY. She does a pretty good job of choosing items that can transition well to school like this adorable top. Although she can’t wear the shorts by themselves to school she can wear leggings underneath which she loves to do and ads a little extra style to the look.
You know I can’t go shopping for them and not grab myself some goodies. I am always impressed with the DENIM options for women. They have so many style options: Skinny, Straight, Curvy and even Boyfriend like the ones I have on. I also grabbed this really great light sweater that I can wear over a button up shirt when it starts to cool off.

Another style tip for back to school is layering. Not only does it looks great but a denim button up shirt can be a lightweight jacket that they can take on and off through the day as the father changes. My son loves wearing it around his waist.
As seamstress you know that I am all about fit and fabric and the OLD NAVY denim has a great fit for the entire family. My son loves a skinny denim and the denim washes and quality are on trend. My daughter is IN LOVE with the BALLERINA COLLECTION of jeggings. Think we bought every wash they had, lol.
