Satin Caftan Drafted In Pattern Making Academy

Hi, Darlings! Happy Monday. It's finally starting to feel a bit like fall and I have been loving the cool breeze and falling leaves. I couldn't wait to photograph and make this caftan because the color was giving me fall vibes. This is our satin caftan course in Patternmaking Academy where each month we draft a new garment and learn more patternmaking every month. The first set of courses teaches you all the fundamentals and then as you progress we make more and more garments to really expand on your skills. This is a sister academy to Sew It Academy and it has been amazing.

I made this out of a satin from Melanated Fabrics which we have in three colorways. It is beautiful and drapes like a dream. I paired my dress with tights and boots for a fall look!
