SEWING FOR MOM: GOLD STRIPED TUNIC USING M7596
HI DARLINGS! Mom is looking pretty fierce in this gold striped tunic I made her suing MCCALL 7596 in this yummy jersey. This is the easiest top to make, I decided to sew down the facing because I hate a loose facing, I sometimes will just use bias binding instead but the stitched down facing worked really well for this top, so I went with it.
The fabric is so freaking old! I have had this piece of fabric in my stash for so many years that it felt great to finally use it for such a cool top. The sleeve split is adorable and adds some flare to the loose-fitting tunic. I can’t even remember where I bought this fabric. This MCCALL 7596 top was such a quick sew that I will be making her a few more, they are also great to throw on with jeans and sandals, sneaker or make the other views for a dress.
I have had so much fun sewing for mom and plan to make it a more regular thing. If you have missed my previous posts about sewing for mom you can catch up HERE and HERE!
