DIY Red Pants Suit + Pattern Review S8058
Hi Darlings, I LOVE THIS PATTERN!!!!!! Okay this CYNTHIA ROWLEY #8058 for Simplicity is EVERYTHING. The pattern review is below but I just had to say that aside from MY SIMPLICITY patterns I always look forward to the release of Cynthia’s designs.
I decided to make it in RED PONTE because I love the way red looks on me and I figure why not stand out like a stop sign, lol. If you don’t have this pattern go get it! The PONTE I used was great weight which worked perfectly to hold the shape of the jacket.
Pattern Description: Misses Suit
Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8 for the jacket and a 10 for the pants
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, this is a no fuss pattern, it looks like it could be but it comes together nicely and the only thing that you will need to do outside of the usual is make a bound buttonhole (but you could just make a sewing machine buttonhole too I guess.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the shape of the jacket and you know I LOVE a wide leg pant 😉
Fabric Used: I used this great RED PONTE
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None, I didn’t have to make any adjustments aside from my usual fitting tweaks.
Would you sew it again? YES! Would you recommend it to others? YES!!! and Yes!!!!
