DIY Halter Dress + Pattern Review B5886

HI DARLINGS! I give away most of my DIY clothes every season unless it’s a piece I really love so when I was going through my closet the other day I found this little number that I made about two years ago. I love this dress so much so I wore it out the other day and photographed it again. It was a little more snug in the waist than I remember, LOL! but it fit.

The original pattern review is below along with fabric options. I wore my STEVE MADDEN HEELS and some FOREVER 21 SUNNIES

Pattern Sizing: I cut size 6

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern once you were done with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they are clear and easy to understand.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the neckline and I am a total sucker for a girly, flowy dress.

Fabric Used: Rayon/Poly Blend (options) HERE, HERE and HERE

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I did not need to make any changes to the pattern and only ended up removing about 2″ of ease in the bust. I lined the bodice with the fashion fabric but did not have enough for the skirt so I used a lightweight tricot for the skirt lining. I made this dress in a knit although the pattern calls for a woven.

Would you sew it again? Yes I think I need this in black.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes!!!!
