I have been obsessed with denim maxi's and lately I have had my eye on one from Diesel and one from True Religion, both are almost $300!!! yeah...no! so I decided to make my own versions of these skirts and show you how to make one in the process ;-) Here is the inspiration skirt

Style Pantry + Mimi G. Collaboration

Happy Friday!

Today I am skipping the "daily look" and instead am sharing the 2nd part of the Folake + Mimi Collaboration!

Last week you may remember she posted her first look inspired by the film "Snow White & The Huntsman" and today Folake posted the 2nd look of a 3 look series. When Folake and I sat down to go over what she wanted I went home and sketched some ideas, it was almost immediate how quickly she and I connected and so based on my sketches I moved forward; first creating the Big Bow Skirt which initially was going to be yellow and then she decided on a regal black look ;-) and today she is showing out!! in my Kelly Green Slacks and Exaggerated Sleeve Peplum Top.

7 Things About Me + Why I Was Sad Today

How sweet of Jill to give me this award ;-) So I have to tell you 7 things about me...

1. I only sleep with socks on, lol and will wear them no matter how hot it is.

2. I only like plain donuts you get at he supermarket and I dunk them in coffee

3. I will read the last chapter of a book if I have been reading and get bored but need to know how it ended.

4. My hubby does most of the cooking and cleaning so that I can sew ;-) I <3 him!!

5. I am terrible at saving money!!!! TERRIBLE

6. I MUST drink coffee before I go to bed at night, it relaxes me.

7. I HATE talking on the phone and if I can text/email my way through life I would.

8. *Bonus* I am actually really shy ^_^

Why I Was Sad

 I wanted to share why I was feeling awful today, my friend Liz who also works with me was "laid off" today ;-( we spent every lunch together for the last 4 years and went shopping or sat around laughing hysterically at nothing. I will miss her and my days at work just won't be the same without her here.

Forever 21 Butterfly Garden Top + Forever 21 Woven Shorts

Morning!!

I am feeling very comfy and cool today, I wanted to dress up but the day is hot and busy and I wanted to be comfy. I am gearing up for the weekend even though it is only Wednesday, LOL but I am ready to relax, sew and share with you guys. 

Last night after dropping off fabric/trims etc to the seamstress I hired to fulfill the skirt orders the hubby and I went and had dinner at our favorite little joint in Hollywood, Delancy's I promise you they have the best damn meatballs I have ever eaten! I was going to take a pic of them but when the plate hit the table I scarfed them down, LOL (pic of entree below)
