MY FAVORITE DIY PANTS + PATTERN REVIEW S8389
HI DARLINGS! Happy Friday. I am in a bit of a rush this morning because I have a photoshoot to do but I had to post these DIY pants I made using SIMPLICITY 8389 and my current obsession… this H&M sweater.
I love these pants and have already made them before in the maroon pleated velvet look I posted HERE. I plan to use this pattern lot, lol. Its fast, easy to fit and they look awesome. Check out the pattern review below.
Pattern Description: #8389 View D Misses Pants with Length Variations.
Pattern Sizing: I cut the 10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think so, well maybe a little bit, lol
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the shape of view D but I like my pants cropped more so I knew I would need to modify the length, these are really long and I am only 5′ 4″
Fabric Used: Cotton Striped Shirting
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the pattern by a lot and lengthened my crotch by 5/8″ I have a long torso and a big butt (LOL) so I often make this adjustment.
Would you sew it again? YES! Would you recommend it to others? YES!
STYLED IT: I wore my favorite pin ( I got it at Joann Fabrics) / Jessica Simpson shoes / H&M Sweater
