IKAT TUNIC + PATTERN REVIEW M7436 (modified)

HI DARLINGS! Well me and Norris are on the road and currently in New York. We arrived yesterday after a few days in Chicago where I gave two lectures on “Building a Following an Brand Loyalty” and on “How To Start a Creative Business” at SEW PRO CONVENTION. I had a GREAT time speaking to those groups and I also got to hang out with my family. Now that we are in NY we have a few meetings to take and then we are off to Cleveland so its gonna be a busy 9 days.

Now on to this awesome DIY top! I love this tunic I made using MCCALL #7436 but I made some modifications which I listed in the pattern review below.

STYLED IT: Steve Madden Heels, Forever 21 Sunnies, Forever 21 Faux Leather Leggings

Top Pattern Description: MCCALL 7436

Pattern Sizing: I cut the 8

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of…

Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn’t really look them through but I am sure they were fine.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the look of the top and neck tie.

Fabric Used: Ikat (similar option HERE)

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made it longer, I added the bell sleeves (tut coming soon) and I made the bow a tad bit bigger.

Would you sew it again? Yes!
