DIY WRAP DRESS USING THE TRUE BIAS CALVIN PATTERN
HI DARLINGS! This #calvindress by TRUE BIAS is awesome! I made it several weeks ago but had not yet taken pics, I figure I better take them before it gets colder although this will look great with a fitted turtleneck too for fall.
The pattern is a PDF and it is a pretty simple sew except for the fact that if you are making the bias tape yourself it can take a minute and applying it takes a bit of time too. Aside from that, it is pretty straightforward.
I used a great silky print I picked up at MOOD FABRICS last year and had been holding on to it for just the right dress, it was the end of the bolt so I am so glad I was able to snatch it up. I plan to make this again for sure. I also loved the bra start style that allows you to adjust the straps and the curve of the bodice sits really comfortably without the worry of gaping.
THE LOOK
I wire simple jewelry and heels, I think I may style this again for fall and post another look.
