HI DARLINGS! Wooohoooo this is the beginning of my #DIYDENIMBLUECOLLECTION I am so in love with every piece I have made for this collection so far. This is look #1 and it includes a PATTERN HACK VIDEO for you to create them too. The pattern info is below but you can make the modification to any pant pattern as shown in the YOUTUBE VIDEO BELOW. DIY EXAGGERATED FLARE PATTERN MODIFICATIONS

The video shows exactly what I did to modify my SIMPLICITY 8655 pants pattern. You can do the modification to any pant pattern but since I have a SEW-ALONG VIDEO for these already I figured I would just hack my own pattern. I used a 10 oz. White Denim I had in my stash. I suggest using at least 8 or 10 oz denim and at least 2% stretch. This is an easy hack!

DIY OFF THE SHOULDER TOP MODIFICATION

I love this top so much! I am already planning on making MCCALL’S 7686 again for my yellow collection. It sews up really fast and looks great. I added length to the sleeve because I like that look I also added an inch of length and created the casing for my elastic between layers instead of folding over and stitching down as instructed in the pattern instructions. The fabric I got at JOANN and later realized that its the same fabric as the pattern envelope, LOL! I don’t think I have ever done that before.
