My 40th Birthday Dinner Party

HI DARLINGS! It’s still November so I am still celebrating my birthday, LOL. I was in Kauai during my actual birthday so I told my closest friends when I got back I would host a dinner party to celebrate my big 40… Thanks to Stella Artois who so generously outfitted the party with all the necessary beverages 😉 we had a blast!

I LOVE decorating for a party and I especially love making my table a welcoming and warm place for my guests. Below are some pics of Fridays dinner party and also some tips on how I decorated my table and made the evening special.

 I love gold and red and although I am a “pink” girl red is romantic and seasonal since we are nearing the holidays. I found these great bows in the holiday section of party city and I knew they would look amazing on the back of the chairs. I also wanted to add height to the room so I tied a ballon to each side of each chair, it made the table look like it was going to float away, lol.

 I kept the place setting simple and used white plates and a red napkin sandwiched between and as a takeaway I added a little bag of red gum-balls with a black bow.

 I love using fresh flowers on my table and using various candles to light the room. The Stella Artois glassware was a beautiful touch with the gold trim.

I wanted to look festive so I wore this short little number 😉 to show off these 40 year old legs, LOL!!!

 Watching everyone enjoying themselves and eat and laugh was the greatest part of my evening. I love being surrounded by people who genuinely love me.

Because I wanted fresh flowers I decided to create two center pieces by using two clear bowls and filling them halfway with water. I cut the rose stems down and placed them in between the rocks and used the greenery to fill spaces. I then filled them with water and they looked amazing…still do actually.

 I wanted to cherish this evening through my friends perspective so I bought a Polaroid camera and this great frame and asked my friends to take a pic throughout the night and add it to the frame 😉 I love looking at this frame on my wall, it reminds me that I am surrounded by love.
