DIY Tweed Dress With Covered Belt
Hi Darlings, What can I say I think I have made the best DIY dress ever , lol! I can’t get enough of this vintage, classy, elegant dress and I made it using the same Simplicity pattern #8014 I used for the striped dress HERE I won’t review this again since I did a full review on the last post but I will just say that I omitted the pockets for a clean look and I decided to make my own belt with some belting and a covered buckle kit found HERE.
This is dress is so simple and the pattern is a FAVORITE! but what really makes this dress amazing is this FABRIC… I LOVE this fabric that I got from The Fabric Store (136 S. La Brea Ave, LA California 90036 – Ph: (323) 931-8300 la@thefabricstoreusa.com) they do not sell online but they will ship to you so just give them a call or email and tell them you saw the fabric on Mimi’s blog.
I did a fabric haul video a few weeks back and this was one of the fabrics in the video.. you can see that video HERE. I wore my dress with my steve madden heels and a simple gold necklace and my Chanel sunnies. See you tomorrow! xoxo
