What I Wore | Pretty In Pink + Let's Meet?

Happy Hump Day!!

So I have been told that several of you live in California so I was thinking that it would be great since some of you have asked for a tour of the downtown fabric district that we all meet up!

If you live near Los Angeles or are willing to trek down for the day I think it would be fun to plan a "fabric Shopping" trip where I can show you how to get through the million little shops how to check fabric, how to decide if a fabric would work for your project etc. and then we can all have lunch and chat....let me know how many are interested and I will plan accordingly. If you are from out of town and want to participate let me know so I can plan far enough out to accommodate your travel. WooHoo!! sounds like fun!

Okay, Here is What I Wore..

Gap 'perfect oxford shirt' I love this pink shirt so much! so I paired with my DIY Navy Pencil Skirt (Tutorial for this skirt here) and my Pink Soda Wedges.

Tory Burch Sunnies
Various bangles from F21 and my MK Watch, Ring & Bag

  4. First, love the hot pink shirt with black skirt. I already have the skirt, so I just need to score a neon top!

Second, I don't live in LA but that's where I grew up and my parents still live there and I visit a lot. When are you thinking? I'm pretty new to your blog, but totally inspired by you!

I have been reading your blog for a while, and simply love whenever you do the "What I Wore" entry. I love when you mention the resources for the accessories and shoes. Particularly, the shoes. I'm grateful that share your style and sewing tips. That is another thing to write in my gratitude journal. Thanks so much!

  19. This post make me sooo sad because I live in Maryland. I want to come on the trip :-(. It seems that the fabric stores don't have a great range of fabrics here. Have fun ladies and I love the brightness of your outfit today. BTW, do you think you could do a tutorial on adding hidden pockets???

    1. Hi fattygirl218, have you ever been to Mary Jo's Fabric Store in Gastonia? That's one of the best fabric stores ever! It probably doesn't compare to the LA/NY fashion districts but it's a great store.

I'm in Charlotte and we have pretty good selections at a lot of the Hancocks and JoAnn fabric stores.

  49. I just started sewing about 1.5 weeks ago, and have made all kinds of bags, headbands, and pillowcases. But I'm ready to move on to clothes now!

As soon as I started to look for blogs that had style, you popped up right away. I love that you mix Michael Kors, Forever 21, Tory Burch, and DIY clothing, and it all looks fantastic.

Anyways, I'm so excited that I started to subscribe the day after you announce this fabric trip because I'm right here in L.A. County! I've been to a few fabric outlets closer to where I live, but I am ready to attack the Fashion District.

Btw, I've gone over every post you've done and you are sooo my fashion idol right now!

  50. This is such an awesome idea. I would love to come on a fashion district trip. I'm in LA and would love to help plan it or collaborate with the preparation if you need it. ;) Just let me know. This is so awesome. Btw, love the outfit too. You are rocking that skirt. Hot pink with it was definitely a nice touch. ;)
